Do I have to do anything to play as Vergil? (DMC5) So I literally just bought the PC version of DMC 5 and the Vergil DLC, but when I log in its just the base game. My steam says its installed, I'm just wondering if I have to play through the game again to access him? I have bought the dlc but it doesn't show the Vergil selection. Please help me. You don't need to play the other games to enjoy DMC4. Just look online to find out about Trish, Lady, and Dante, and you'll be good to go. In fact, you might enjoy the narrative of DMC4 MORE having not played the other games. DMC1's story wasn't so great, but at least it was told in an order that somewhat made sense. Mods like these are kinda hard, but it is an idea! The online coop is just easier. I know this is an old thread and I'm sorry about that, but if you still want a dmc 5 splitscreen, there's a way now only on PC via Mod. check this splitscreen preview and the guide out. And i hope this can help anyone that still looking for Local Coop Splitscreen A place to discuss our love for the Devil May Cry series Members Online I was messing around with vergil after having not played dmc5 in a while, and I found out you can do perfect timed attacks with Beowolf that when I tried on the dummy in the training room I did more damage (including with all charge levels), did anyone else not know this or It's relevant to the story, yes. You can still understand what's happening ofc, tho i'd suggest either playing it or watching the cutscenes on yt. bartulata • 3 yr. ago. I was in a weird spot where I played DMC3 first, have seen Nero but virtually no information on him for a decade, then jumped straight to DMC5 when it released. This isn't like KH where you have to play ever game to even remotely understand the story. The DMC story is pretty simplistic, so yea you can play it without having to worry all that much about playing the others. There is a recap of the story in the game though. I have to imagine this is going to make it harder to play the other ones. 1 for new players is hard to get into. By all means please try it if you feel like it. But if you won't like it, it's completely fine to watch some kind of playthrough on yt. I know that for some DMC1 is the best and I salute to those people. For me it's a beautiful piece of history, worth preserving. According to the developers information, you will need least Intel Core i5–4460 (or AMD FX-6300) and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 (or AMD Radeon R7 260X) and 8 GB of RAM to run the game on low settings. DMC 5 will require about 35 GB of storage and Capcom, developer of the game, strongly recommends playing it on gamepad. I have tried to play all of the other mainline dmc games except 2 at least like 5 times each, and it just feels so bad not having an iframe dodge you can use in any direction. I want to enjoy these games, and 5 is feeling super smooth and fluid during basic enemy encounters but bosses just kinda suck with no dodge.
